Urban Art Access is known for its specialized art talks. Art Access 5, a unique art series, puts collectors, artists and dealers together in an informal setting to share their experiences with new and novice connoisseurs. We have posted several of our spring 2006 events below for your review. Today, we are focusing on creating similar programs for private clients and museums.

Meet the key players, hear their secrets and get an inside view on what everyone in the art market is talking about.     Everyone loves the traditional Art Access 5 evening format! (A variety of perspectives on contemporary art during an informal chat with key players in Miami's art community).

    All four of these Miami based artists are being watched closely by collectors all over the country and represent the future of Miami's art scene. This is a special opportunity for you to view their art, be in their new studio and learn about their work directly from them. Sit with Urban Art Access President, Heather Urban, and discover why the work is collected and what it is like being an artist in Miami's art scene today. Natalia Benedetti is represented by Fredric Snitzer Gallery, Cristina Lei Rodriguez is represented by Galerie Emmanuel Perrotin, Frances Trombly is represented by Kevin Bruk Gallery, and Wendy Wischer is represented by Diana Lowenstein Fine Art.

    Everyone likes to be visually stimulated! Go out of the box and experience a contemporary performance by MacArthur Genius Award-Winner Elizabeth Streb. "Streb's unique movement art—kin to sport, circus, physics experiments and hard labor—has reached a peak of theatricality and dare—all virtuosity." —Deborah Jowitt, Village Voice (New York). This evening join Urban Art Access and Miami Light Project for this outstanding and memorable performance, then walk to a fabulous cocktail party to meet the performers in the Sagamore's new Video Lounge.

    Emerging artist Gavin Perry executes retro style abstract paintings with a fascinating technique. Discover Perry's work and the hidden complexities behind what may seem purely decorative. Interesting questions circulate around his work. Find out how an artist reinvents abstract painting (an art period from the1950s) by creating a fresh approach. Also, learn about the fears an artist may have in creating work that could be perceived as decorative.     Visit Showtel, an edgy art exhibition with installations by some of the most interesting new talent in Palm Beach County. Be chauffeured to West Palm Beach for an evening with friends, a cutting-edge art exhibit at a chic boutique hotel followed by dinner at a chic and hip restaurant. Check-out the emerging art scene and get a sense of what is happening just North of us.
